The needs assessment, conducted during an initiation briefing, is the systematic process of capturing assignee information and data required to facilitate services for an international assignment. This is performed by one of our highly qualified international assignment managers and lays the foundation for the entire assignment.
MSI collects and calculates all costs associated with an international assignment for the employee and all accompanying dependents. This reflects the differential between the home and host country cost of living as it relates to assignee spending patterns and the compensation required to keep the assignee “whole” in the host country for the term of the assignment, while adhering to business budget requirements.
LETTER OF ASSIGNMENT
MSI prepares the LOA, which outlines the terms and conditions under which the employee (and accompanying dependents) will undergo an international assignment. LOA specifications may include, but not be limited to, a confirmation of position and responsibilities, assignment term, compensation package, allowances, benefits and expenses, and the terms and conditions for repatriation.
MSI calculates all costs associated with the employee’s move, from pre-departure through repatriation. Line item inclusions are based upon client policy and/or the individual employee’s letter of assignment. Standard line items may include, but not be limited to, allowances and differentials based on home and host country, relocation costs, tax costs, and repatriation costs.
